Often, discussions of the future are dominated by arguments of evolution, religion, and social implications. What many of us do not think about is what technology will be like in the future. I see a huge trend toward virtual reality and a growing emphasis on gadgets that can be displayed on the body (see the recent smart watch trend). We will have a multitude of gadgets that can aid the human body and also in medical practices. I've dreamed that we will one day have a gadget like in star trek that can just heal the wound with no problems and then we can be on our way. Imagine how easy that would be. No more month long stays in the hospital and most major diseases would be taken care of with the snap of a finger. What about flying cars? Will we be like the Jetson's one day? Flying cars would be a good and a bad thing. It would be good because we can fly! It would be bad because car wrecks would undeniably go up and it would almost always be a guaranteed death if someone wrecks in a hover car. The sky is the limit with what we are able to do with technology and I greatly look forward to how technology will grow.
